How is that anything like - [Kesara stops before she can get to sounding too confounded. He probably doesn't want to start explaining. She'll ask Kain later.]

Do you have a picture of this kind of stylus? I could look too. I mean, if just a nib is all you need then I'm sure I can find one, or make one... but this must be a special one.

I need a favor.

OK It's not really a favor, just a message:

I keep my notes in a leather journal. If I die, somebody should get it. It'll be in my hoodie pocket.
spoileralert: (my life is so hard)

[personal profile] spoileralert 2016-04-26 10:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe. The bodies are moved, but not stripped. It'll be in my pocket, on my body. IF I die. Which I might not. And if I don't, I want to still have it. If I do, you'll just have to find a way to get at it.

[ WHAT, NO-- WELL. YES. KIND OF. ]

I want this place to get shut down and torn apart, and I'd like it if somebody knew to check for a note.

For the record, if I DO die, it was awesomely, and on a skateboard, and you can all suck it.

[personal profile] spoileralert 2016-04-26 11:20 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Oh God. If she complains about the Joker giving her a nickname House will just make sure it sticks. And people will think it's sweet because she's dead and she won't be there to tell them otherwise -- ok she has to add that to her journal now. 'Don't let the Joker nickname me.' There we go. ]

I steadfastly refuse, and invite you to suck it.

It defeats the purpose. This might be the last really fun thing I ever do.

Anyway, I don't think you care enough to keep it a secret, so I'm pretty much set.

[ Steph stares at the message for a minute or so, reading into it every possibility of what he might actually want to say.

Finally she decides it doesn't matter, and the day's not getting any longer. There isn't another message. ]

Yes, sir. I'll look for one of those. [Another quest! She sounds eager already.] Plastic. They really make everything out of this plastic lark, don't they? No ink. Buttons. If I find it you'll be the first to know!

[ uuUghGRHGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

Okay, let's be real. Angel can't stand House. House can't stand Angel. With the vast array of doctorly types in snowhell, there is no conceivable reason she'd ever go to him for medical stuff and expect him to help her out even a little.

Which is exactly why it's what she's doing. He's a dick, but she's happy to acknowledge that he's smart. Smart enough to know that if she's coming to him it has to be for Reasons, and that those reasons aren't to benefit herself. Too much pride, man.
]

Hey. Any chance of you making out a prescription for me?
For a dose of a drug called eridium. Which the admin may not even be able to get hold of, but I'm very much in need of it.
phaseshifter: ((/・0・))

[personal profile] phaseshifter 2016-04-28 08:49 pm (UTC)(link)
If I was worried about anyone listening in, I wouldn't ask at all. Weboth know the administrator can read filtered messages, and you'll probably be best off showing her these anyway? So that she can see I'm authorising this particular instance of medical intervention on my behalf, I mean.

[ Read: hells yeah she can't come out and say it. ]

It's a purple substance, typically mined from the ground back home in rock form. Typically it's refined into a liquid and administered via shots.
I'd been on a constant dosage of it for a couple of years back home before I ended up here. It was keeping me alive.

[ Is that clear enough? Maybe not. Mrrrghhh. ]

It is expensive. Dad only got hold of enough because he
charged it all to the company. Putting
my health before his own interests for once. Though it wasn't that risky - the
powers that be weren't exactly going to bust him, since he was the CEO.

[ Using the old "first word of every line" trick isn't exactly original, but it might be subtle enough to be passed over by snooping adminly types. ]

[personal profile] phaseshifter 2016-04-28 09:22 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Standard dosage: as much as possible. How often: all the fucking time to the point of creating a dependency. THANKS JACK!!

Meaning Angel has to bullshit a little. One small dose to start, maybe? If her powers have only been neutralised, then perhaps that'll be enough to jumpstart them. Or at least give her an idea of how much more she'll need. Still, she has to make it look like it's an ongoing thing. Right? Not just one shot so she can then try to open ALL THE DOORS and hack everything with her mind and fly around and ugh this better work
]

A 3cc dose every three months is the standard. I'll need a syringe and needle to administer it with, obviously.
And thank you! For trying, even if the admin can't deliver.

[ Gonna get some eridium and get her neato powers and DEFINITELY NOT DIE HORRIBLY

YEAH!!

Done. Fingers crossed. :D

[ She's not going to say she owes him a favour, but she totally probably does now. Still. Totally worth it if it works. ]

[Kesara had thought long and hard about how she was going to present her discovery to House. She'd hoped to do it in person, but she isn't sure when that might happen, and her impatience ends up getting the better of her. It does so before she can think of an appropriate narrative for her heroic find.

So instead she simply sits herself with the little old-fashioned microscope in front of the tablet and grins brilliantly at the camera, all self-satisfied triumph.]
