Maybe. Or they're just being held in longer suspension. Look at that Levi guy. He was 'dead' for almost a month. I think the systems in the morgue try to revive all the bodies at least once a day.
it's creepy as hell and looks like yours huh nothing inside we found it under the eye symbol that was down in the courtyard cleared away the debris they'd been using for the symbol
yeah building 175 on my map gonna check back on the symbol that i first marked out thinking there might be something under it, too
there's some weird shit going on with building 16 on my map if you've got time to check that out i pried off the board over the window light plays weird across everything now maybe we need to reenact your drawing the symbol to solve the puzzle up there
((OOC: House is referring to Building 15 on the OOC map.))
That sounds kinda like we're robots or something. What keeps 'em from booting back up again, if that's what's going on? And, shit, man. That means that maybe any of the people who've died could still come back.
k i can check to see who else is up that way probably should try to gather all the dolls together guessing the puzzle gets solved in building 179 where the ragdoll's on the chair bring yours to hsioake pass we can meet up and try something
((OOC: House is referring to Building 187 on the OOC map.))
[That's all he really wants, so they're... set? Set enough. House has plans to search for more ragdolls and Brian's on his way. Hopefully there aren't too many of these damn things.]
[It's a strange thing, but of all the doctors here, Al probably trusts House the most. Not on an emotionally level, but on a technical level. He also knows Al's secret, so that's a big plus in his book when it comes to asking for help.
He's left it so long, but it's finally too much and he needs help.]
[You're in luck, Al. He's in a relatively good mood, even after dealing with Lutha and Frisk--they'd provided food. Two ragdolls down, one to go, at least in this area, and Brian's on the way with another. The medication he's taking helps, too, but we're not thinking about that. Nope.]
tell me what the issue is if it's interesting, i'll help
[Better mood doesn't mean he's much less of an ass, though.]
[He's probably not in luck, it's not that interesting as far as problems go. But he has to get help. He'll stick to text.]
Remember when we fought the Joker together the first time? He got acid in my face, it really damaged my eyes and I thought maybe my sight would get better in time.
It hasn't. My face is still really damaged and my eyes aren't great.
[That actually catches his attention, not for interest, but for the niggling sense of guilt he retains for that particular incident. Unfortunately, chemical burns from more than a month ago aren't going to be something he can really help with.]
kid, you should've gotten treatment for your eyes at the time there's virtually nothing any of us can do for them at this point if they even function like normal eyes are you in pain? does it feel dry? i can prescribe you medicated eye drops to relieve discomfort if your face hurts again i can prescribe you pain meds but we're not in a position to do some sort of skin metal grafting here
[It's pretty much the answer he was dreading, but also one he half expected. That House isn't calling him Lelly, and isn't even insulting him that much, is indication that he's probably telling the truth and not messing him around.
He takes a moment at his end of the tablets to just sigh quietly, head bowed low.
Half a minute later he responds again.]
Okay, thanks all the same. It doesn't hurt that often any more, but I'm not so sure what eye drops would even do. I don't have eyes, it's just holes. I don't even know how this is able to hurt or stop me seeing properly.
don't thank me there's virtually nothing i can do for you
guessing medicated eye drops would work the same way the acid somehow did i can prescribe you some now or when you get up to the tunnels i've got, like, three bottles
More like fleshbots. We're something organic. What keeps them from reviving everyone is limited resources and, I'm guessing, an imperfect revival system. There are corpses in mass graves here. They clearly didn't get the immortality thing down perfectly.
Don't bother hoping for the dead. A lot of them probably aren't coming back. We've got three and a half months left here before we're all irradiated to death or worse.
[He's a bucket of optimism and rainbows, Charlie. It might be better just to not talk to him.]
So the Prophet, whatever they are, still has some power here. Do you think the mark is a positive, or a negative? Although, I suppose that would depend on whose side the Prophet is on in the first place.
I think it's part of a puzzle. No idea what that'll end up meaning. There's a special ragdoll in the tunnels with an eye symbol on it. Think that's part of the puzzle, too. Still working out what exactly we need to do to solve it. It'll probably have something to do with accessing one of the major areas.
The one on the chair, right? It did seem important, but we couldn't get a reaction out of it. Doesn't seem like there was anything inside of it, either.
I guess if there's a locked door at the end of these tunnels, we'll know where to look for a key.
[Gross, but interesting. He examines his hands, wondering what the tell-tale signs of a fleshbot would be. Either way, he's pretty sure he's not a fleshbot. His hands look the same as they did before he got here, more or less. They feel the same, too. Just colder. He'd notice if his hands were different.
Then again, he hasn't seen the rest of his body in awhile. It's too cold and he's stuck in the same clothes forever, so why would he? Oh, shit.]
I bet that's why it's freezing here all the time! It's to keep us from checking ourselves out for signs of being fleshbots. If it was warmer and we had other clothes and stuff, we'd spot that shit right away.
[He is so super onto something!! But, also:]
Uh. Nah, dude. We'll bust outta here before any of that happens.
