Yeah, he's around. And maybe I should. He's pretty great at giving hugs, even with all that armor.
But I'm okay, really. I've thought about this a lot. I think I have a good chance if I go somewhere else. Maybe sometimes people just don't fit in the world they're born in. That's my guess.
[ He's not wrong, but it's just more evidence for the pile that House had a really awful childhood. ]
Sure. Guess I'll let you go relax and hang out with Flynn and Rhys some. Glad everything's all right- or getting more all right, anyway. Like I said, call me if you want to talk. Anytime, okay?
[ He doesn't exactly smile, but he looks more content than usual. ]
And ask Flynn about those classes, huh? I will too, next time I talk to him.
Sure! Talk to you later, Gabriel. [It might have been an awkward note to end the conversation on, but House makes an effort at a smile, himself, before hanging up.]
it got us to a code we needed to get the high school open also seems to work like a locking mechanism for some of the crap over there apart from that if you need it to try any other experiments, just let me know i can transfer it to you temporarily
i've been stuck here nine months and it felt something like ten or fifteen years a few days ago take a guess on the sanity check i'm more sane now than i was then, at least
the human psyche is strikingly resilient (or sapient psyche if you're gonna pitch a fit about that) for better or worse we keep pushing on what else is there to do? it's too cold to just sit still

[Two files arrive shortly after one another. The first is a complete digitization of House's notebook and their hieroglyph lessons. There are a couple of additional pictures included, more information and annotations from Flynn, expanding on what's already there, along with some reading exercises.
The second file is just a picture of a quick scribbled note. It's hieroglyphs, again, spelling out no excuses.]
[Flynn didn't actually expect to get a message back so when the note arrives he squints at the hieroglyphs but it doesn't take him too long to figure out what House is trying to say.]
