[Oh. Thank. God. Having to deal with people and those injections has tested the limit of House's will in terms of managing his ever diminishing number of pills.]
have to get food, but i'll head south after how much is there?
[Is that a lack of gratitude? Or any acknowledgement of the fact that the last time they talked House was snarling at him? Not at all.]
[It's okay House, it's not Clayton you'll need to impress when you get there.]
Don't worry too much about the food unless you're already out--between my group, we have plenty of rations to spare.
Full bottle, [insert number of pills and dosage that would be printed on the prescription label here, wikis have been terribly uninformative]. I'd hope it would last you a while. How much do you have left?
about a day's walk north from the vet along the eastern wall hospital's southwest, right? might be able to meet up near the gas station you planning to come alone?
[Give him a minute to look back through the maps others have made so he can confirm where that gas station is...]
The gas station's along the southern wall, right? Must be further to the east. I'm sure we can find it.
Won't be traveling alone. Dio's the one that found your pills, so there's no point in keeping this trip secret from him, and I trust Enoch enough to keep quiet. If we collect anyone else along the way, I'll tell Dio to be discrete. You'll be fine.
it was a question not a concern i mean, i know we've got this gang war on and all but keep it cool, boy, and i'm sure the sharks and the jets can get along try not to pick up too many stray puppies along the way i'm allergic to annoying things
[He's actually quite concerned that it's Dio he'll have to deal with. The guy is the antithesis of dicreet from what he's seen.]
[Because House totally wouldn't have been hyper-paranoid about his identity if Clayton hadn't preemptively assured him it was safe...or so he assumes. House is his snowhell Dustin goldfish, after all, and some reflexes in dealing with him are harder to kick than others.]
[Also all of those references have gone completely over his head. Sorry, House.]
I'll tell them to behave. Don't want to stress you out too much--Lord knows you make enough of that for yourself already. Stay safe, and I'll see you in a few days.
[House is more paranoid about being generally known as a cripple who requires drugs to manage at this point. Pity is indescribably frustrating unless he's making a special effort to acquire it for something.]
oh god oh god are there going to be more than six people??? i think i might DIE i'm so stressed out!!! i might not make it out alive!!!!!!!
just get to the gas station somehow i think i'll manage if i can deal with the mexican kid and the genetically perfect bitch (i call her gpb for short) for more than two hours
[About half a lecture on how to treat a proper lady is typed out on Clayton's tablet before he realizes that it's a wasted effort. The hell does House care. House don't give two fucks. The only fucks House gives would be if he actually got a rise out of him, and Clayton refuses to give him that satisfaction--not while he has the saving grace of text. He deletes the original message, resolves to have that stern talking to when they're face-to-face and House can't run away from it, and starts fresh.]
And here I was, worrying about making my group behave. Please contain yourselves while I'm gone. I don't have the supplies to patch all of you up.
Not just you. You're suffering from chronic pain and there are monsters. I doubt you'll be able to outrun them, so your best bet is to bring someone with you to help divert their attention so you can both safely get inside, or at least help you get to somewhere with a locked door you can hide behind. I know you won't enjoy it, but it's too risky to go alone. Pick someone that can tolerate you the longest, tell them it'll be a short trip.
gee, dad you got a lot more twangy since the last time we talked i was dealing before i met up with janey and her posse i think i can manage without them again
in fact i think the world would be a better place if I did
[He is now going to disagree with any and all suggestions thanks to that 'Greg' comment. He's an adult, and he can be just as petty as he wants to be. Anyway, the jokes on you, Clayton. His dad would have told him to suck it up and go it alone. Like a marine.
Should that be an argument in favor of actually going along with bringing someone else along? No.
It's difficult wanting to oppose two authority figures at once. One of them isn't here, though.]
and i'm feeling lucky anyway i'll catch you on the flip-side later

3 days at my regular dose
could probably stretch it to 5 or 6
i've been going half until the day before yesterday
[You know. When he'd run into people.]
i can go back to that
provided snowhell doesn't throw a yeti or whatever at us
[And provided his companions aren't especially annoying.]

I wouldn't push your luck, Greg. [If you're gonna call him "dad"...] It'll only be a few days. Being patient is usually better than being dead.
